Welcome to Poornwad Jivankala Mandal Mauritius

Shri. Ramchandra Maharaj ji Parnerkar.

Dr. Parnerkar was born on 16th of July 1916. He studied literature, sociology, economics, logic (western & eastern), Nyaya, Ved, Upanishadas, Yoga, Astronomy, Geology, Physics. His study was deep and multi-dimensional. He guided many students for graduation, post graduation and further research studies. He also studied Biology, Geology, Astronomy and Physics and prepared a thesis on Cosmology.
He submitted the thesis to Berlin University in 1938-39. His findings therein required deep analysis and thought process  that by the time Hitler declared war it could not even ranked by proper authorities because he had shaken the very basis of many positive sciences and puzzled the authorities. Having failed to get recognition from Germany for his research work, he was not disappointed. He already had some concerns regarding Shri Shankaracharya’s philosophy, especially his position on Maya, devaluation of Ishwara and inadequate quotations from Vedas. Additionally Dr.Parnerkar had a disagreement with Shri Gaudapadacharya’s concept of “Ajaat Vad”. Having the disagreement with these two concepts in mind, Dr.Parnerkar established his philosophy of “Poornawad” (Complete or Holistic Life). For his great contribution, the oldest university viz. Bharat Dharma Mahamandal (Sanskrit and Spirituality University) of Varanasi, conferred on him the much coveted distinction. The degree of Doctor of Philosophy. It is enough to state that Pandit Rajrajeshwar Shastri Dravid of Varanasi, who is supposed to be the top most authority on Sanskrit learning, was one of his examiners.
Poornawad provides that mind and matters are two experiences of one and the same reality which he has styled as “Poorna”. It could have been written and presented in the western style. The contenders in western Philosophy are absolutists, Spinozaist and Existentialists. But as the proverb goes-“Charity begins at home”; the exposition of his new philosophy has been done in Sanskrit and Marathi to inspire the student of Philosophy in Indian universities is turning more toward linguistic rather than towards the complexities and intricacies of the modern life experience. This Man of Gem, a Gem of Man passed away on Vaishakh S. 13th year 1902.
